How to Set Featured Image for WordPress Post or Page

To set a featured image on your WordPress page or post, find the ‘featured image’ box on the content editor page. You will see the option of ‘set featured image’. Click on that option. You will be directed to a page where you can drag and drop files that already exist or you can also select a file directly from the hard disk drive of your computer system. An image can also be uploaded from an URL link if you prefer so. The media library is a storehouse of images as well. If you have images stored in the media library, then you can choose an image from there as well.

On that page you will notice 2 options regarding the visibility of your image. Click on the ‘show’ option to locate the settings of your image. If the settings are perfect according to what you wanted, then you can select ‘use as featured image’ option. If you click anywhere outside the box, then you will be redirected to the editor page. Now, if you wish to see the changes click on the preview button on the editor page. If everything is perfect and you do not wish to change anything, then click on the publish button to make your post visible to the visitors.

Hence, you see setting a featured image on your post or page is easy on WordPress. You simply have to follow the process carefully to be able to publish your post with an image set inside.
