Web design blog
Welcome to our web design blog Where we can keep you up to date
When you log in to WordPress, the first web page you will encounter is the WordPress dashboard. This is the area to get information and statistics on your web page. In the main area of the dashboard widgets are found which will provide useful information and you can drag and drop widgets wherever you want in the WordPress dashboard. Point the cursor to the widget link to enable configure of web design actions. The screen options and help tab on top right of the page allows you to choose options like turning on and off the display of widgets on your page anytime. The number of widgets can also be displayed.
The helps option aids in selecting various functions. To the left side of the page there are options to help in customisation of the web page. Once you choose ‘Menu’ you will see a couple of sub menus and pointing the mouse on them will display the items under them. The main menu consists of WordPress Dashboard, Posts, Media, Pages, Comments, Appearance, Plugins, Users, Tools and Settings.
The post section allows you to create posts and manage them in categories. The media section helps in uploading and managing media files. The pages section lets you create pages and manage the content while the comment section lets you see and manage the comments of the viewers.
